The Boy in the Striped Pajamas was a Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller, spent sixty-six weeks at number one in Ireland and won two Irish Book Awards, among many others. It was adapted into a successful film by Miramax and, to date, over seven million copies of the book have been sold worldwide. John’s other novels, notably The Absolutist and A History of Loneliness, have been widely praised and are international bestsellers. His novels are published in over forty-five languages. He is married and lives in Dublin.
